We often cc' our consultant along with the client on quotes. However if the consultant views it and the client doesn't, the 'viewed' notification email triggers. Is there any easy way to prevent the consultant viewing it from not triggering the 'viewed' notification?

At this time there's no way for QuoteValet to differentiate between quotes being viewed. If the link is clicked the email is triggered.

You can request for each view notification to trigger an email, but I've found that can get overwhelming.

Could you put a 'secret' link in the email?
White text below the signature perhaps.. you could then 'train' your consultants to click there, which would look at the SalesRepFacing page, which doesn't trigger a quote view email.

Hmmmm, tricky.

Matt is correct when he says that QuoteWerks currently cannot differentiate between who is a sales rep and who is a client.

I do like your suggestion Matt of adding the secret link in the emails as it will always ask your sales reps to login before viewing sensitive information so even if the client got as far as to find the secret link, they could not proceed into the quotation (bearing in mind the sales reps would have to have a sensible password, you'd be surprised how many have 1 letter passwords!).

Whilst this is a reasonable approach, it may be worth requesting a feature enhancement to the QuoteValet Activity Notifications centre to send multiple emails i.e. when a quote is first uploaded to QuoteValet send email template A to client and email template B to CC'd consultants... You can send this request to development@quotewerks.com.

You could append "&internal=1" to the customer-facing URL for your secret link. That should allow the Consultant to view the quote without triggering the notification email or potentially compromising your sensitive information.

Hope this helps,
