Hi Guys
I have a current problem in that when I try to start QW it triggers Windows installer and attempts to install "Microsoft Office Single Image 2010". I attempted to cancel and then it just freezes and when I allowed the installer to run through to the end, it timed out QW and now it just continues to time out.
I have a corporate edition on another computer and connect with a nodsetup. I have fully uninstalled the node and reinstalled - it didn't help.
I have 3 screen shots with the messages as it goes through.

1) "Please wait while Windows configures "Microsoft Office Single Image 2010"

2) Heading - Quotewerks edition Build 10.02) not detected yet.
Body - Error opening connection in ConnOpen()
Error (-2147467259) Login timeout expired
More of connect string = User .....etc....etc

3) Heading - Quotewerks edition Build 10.02) not detected yet.
Body - Error LoadSchemaswimming conneting to database. Quotewerks
will now terminate.

It seems that Windows installer is recognising it as something else and tries to install it ?????

Your assistance would be much appreciated.

Cheers Theo

The issue seems similar to others we have seen when attempting to install software (including QuoteWerks) whereby there is a.n.other program that has been part installed (or part uninstalled), corrupted or damaged in some way.

Re-installing Windows will resolve this (albeit this is somewhat extreme) or sometimes either looking for the application in Programs/Features and removing it or an application like CCleaner can resolve it by clearing out rogue registry entries. Googling the issue also offers solutions like disabling (or removing) Microsoft Add-ins to resolve the problem.

Hope this helps,
